Science Memory
Appropriate Grade Level: 4th and above
Procedures/Steps:
1) Have students pair up and give them stack of cards to be laid face
down on the table. Each card is to be paired up with most identical
definition or concept. Example: The “components of an atom” card
and the “electron, proton, and neutron” card are a good match.
2) Play the game until all the matches are found
Comments and/or tips:
-Teacher can design cards contents based on learning phases
(Exploration, Term Introduction, Concept Application)
-Exercise is useful for students to learn words and concepts in a game format
rather than a drawn out lecture.
