Academic Resource Department All students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) are assigned a Resource Teacher. The resource teacher develops and maintains students’ IEPs, monitors student progress, and provides support to students in accordance with the students’ IEPs. Students are encouraged to visit the academic resource room to connect with their resource teacher and access the supports and services they require. All students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) can access the Academic Resource Room (225). The Academic Resource Room is considered a quiet, alternative setting where students can complete assigned work, quizzes, tests, and/or exams, and access computers and assistive technology in accordance with the accommodations outlined in their IEP. Students, subject teachers and resource teachers work together to arrange or coordinate access to the resource room as needed by the student.
