FINAL CULMINATING ACTIVITY
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of the final project is to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate the Comtech
skills they have developed over the course of the semester. As well as incorporating Ontario Catholic
expectations in all projects
CGE2e- An effective Communicator who uses and integrates the Catholic faith tradition, in the
critical analysis of the arts, media, technology and information systems to enhance the quality of
life.
CGE7j-contributes to the common good
Students may work alone or groups of two. Each student must take full responsibility for meeting all the
requirements and expectations of the final project. For students who choose to work in groups of 2, it is
absolutely imperative that each member takes an active role and works co-operatively in completing all
aspects of the project.
All students must present their project on the day of the schedule exam day. This will be discussed in
class prior to the day of exams.
Promotional Video & Animation
Your assignment will contain 2 parts. The first part is to create a promotional video for an appropriate
cause Catholic cause such as a Communication Technology Promo or a Food Drive Promo or a Catholic
education Promo that is approved by the Instructor and effectively communicates and integrates the
Catholic faith tradition, in the critical analysis of the arts, media, technology, and information
systems to enhance the quality of life. The video must have music copyright free created in
Garageband and will have the following Requirements:

minimum of 10 shots per minute (fast or slow pace)
the video must be storyboarded completely
must videotape the video on school property during class time
a script must be included in the “ audio” section of storyboard
Minimum of 2 or 3 altered images some sort of Special Effect.
The second part will be creating a 30 second animation and contributes to the common good. The
animation will be for an opening credit sequence for the video or within the video itself. It will include the

movie name, a production company name, and the people that star in the movie and all the other credits
such as directors, DOP etc.
