9th English FREEWRITE FRIDAY: Wedding Edition! TASK: Write something creative in honor of Ms. Maze’s wedding Rap about love/marriage Poem about love/marriage A letter to the newlyweds congratulating them A story that describes (through prediction) what the happy couple’s future holds. “Once upon a time…” A list offering advice to the newlyweds (do’s and don’ts of a successful marriage) Create a fake wedding announcement that describes the couple: who they are and where they’re from, when/how/where they met, how he proposed, details of the wedding (when, where, who attended) Requirements: ---All work should be at least 10 sentences or lines long ---Your writing should be appropriate for the occasion: positive and somewhat formal. ---Make sure your writing is clear and correct: correct capitalization, spelling, punctuation. ---Use creative font, pictures, etc. to “embellish” your work --Put your name on it, so Ms. Maze knows who it is from. We will present her with copies of the work. **If you finish early, for extra credit find something: a quote, poem, or saying about love or marriage It should be positive or humorous—not negative or inappropriate PRINT TWO copies of the work. If you can’t print, email your work to mkirk@rtmsd.org so I can print it. WE MUST HAVE IT READY FOR MONDAY’S CLASS PERIOD!
