POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Executive Director, ERP Support Services Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Administrative E JOB SUMMARY: Plan, direct, evaluate, and implement support District Wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software related to administrative applications such as student services, faculty, human resources, and financial services. Responsible for administration of functions required to support the District’s ERP and related applications including technical acquisitions, development of guidelines, standards, and procedures for instructional and administrative areas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 35% 1. Direct the planning, budgeting, and operations of the ERP Support Services department. Responsible for strategic and operational planning to achieve organizational and departmental goals by prioritizing ERP initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future ERP development and implementation across the organization. 2. Provide technical leadership and serve as a technical resource to departments regarding ERP needs. Coordinate ERP project initiation, prioritization, and resource allocation. Provide oversight and serve as an interface to executive management for large, campus-wide administrative ERP upgrades. Support users by answering questions, offering continuous improvement of processes and services. 3. Maintain appropriate controls to ensure ERP applications operate according to all internal and external standards and compliance requirements. Responsible for the technical training budget in respect to software, technical workshops, or conferences. Assess training needs based on cost, goals and requirements. 4. Provide personnel management activities of assigned staff; including recommendation for employment, supervision, orientation, performance evaluation and guidance and support concerning professional development; mentor and train staff on policy and procedures. 10% 5. EXPERIENCE: Nine (9) years related experience. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Ability to plan, organize, lead, and control personnel and operations of a large department; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty and the public; Excellent communication, written and verbal, and interpersonal skills; Experience with enterprise applications and process improvement methodologies; Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy; Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through; Knowledge of Ellucian Banner or equivalent ERP experience; Ability to provide technical leadership in the development of projects for Student Services, Faculty, Human Resources and Finance; Ability to consult and advise departments in relation to software issues and concerns; Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands; Effectively supervise, lead, and delegate tasks and authority; Ability to maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials; Knowledge of principles and practices of information technology and applications development in an education environment; Knowledge of computer languages, technologies, and protocols; Ability to plan, budget, and operate within an information technology department; Ability to manage and implement organization-wide administrative software projects; Knowledge of systems analysis, database design, and program design; Ability to program techniques and identify training needs and implementation; Ability to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion. 2.
