Congress approves increase in tariff rates on Canadian lumber
Explain what is likely to happen to the price of Canadian lumber as a result of the
measure approved by Congress and the impact that it is likely to have on international
trade.
Task B: Cut blank pieces of paper in half and distribute one piece to each student. Write
the word “TAXES” on the board and ask students to create a web illustrating a variety of
ways that tax revenue might be used by government.
