The Computer Information Systems Emphasis is moving at the
speed of technology, providing students with knowledge, skills
and practical experience in programming, systems analysis and
design, database design and administration, security, e-business
and networking. You’ll also learn the necessary business skills
for immediate employment in CIS and for advancement to CIS
management positions.

facilities, hardware, software, tools and experiences that you’ll use in the
workplace. Our specialized Applied Networking Lab provides students with
opportunities across all platforms, thanks to academic partners like Adobe,
Microsoft, Oracle and IBM. In addition, internships are available in a wide
variety of CIS disciplines.

The credentials that matter
For successive years, graduating seniors of the Monfort College of
Business scored in the top 5-10 percent on the national Educational
Testing Service Major Field Test in Business, which assesses students’ core business knowledge.
The Monfort College of Business is the first and only business
college ever to earn the coveted Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award from the Office of the President of the United States. The
college is accredited by AACSB International in both business and
accounting—the “gold standard” for accreditation.

average of only 32 students, so it’s easy to get to know your
