Part 1 - Electronics
1. The console shall provide 20 pages of 10 submaster faders, expandable to 30 submasters per page
using DMX input.
2. The console shall have 2 playback master faders, plus Go and Pause buttons.
3. A Grand Master fader and Blackout button shall be provided.
4. The console shall provide 200 user definable keys arranged as 20 pages of 10 keys.
5. Each of these keys shall be user programmable and can be assigned with palette, group, memory, or
channel data information.
6. The console shall have 4 high resolution encoders for fixture control.
7. A track ball shall also be provided for cursor control and pan/tilt control.
8. The console shall provide 5 context-sensitive syntax keys.
9. The console shall provide feedback for all operations via eight on-board LCDs, plus two XGA resolution
monitor outputs.
10. The monitors shall provide extended information about all of the console functions.
11. The console shall have 4 USB ports for data backup and software updates.
12. The console shall have rear-mounted connectors for the control inputs and outputs.
13. There shall be four DMX512-A outputs plus one DMX512-A input.
14. The console shall provide full DMX patching to all universes.
15. The console shall provide an Ethernet port supporting the Art-Net protocol.
16. The desk shall provide SMPTE, MIDI, CAN (iCAN & Chillinet protocols), Sound-to-Light and Remote
input connectors.
17. A connection for a gooseneck working lamp shall be provided.
Part 2 - Operation
1. The console shall have the facility to record lighting states and lighting sequences along with any
associated fade times and attributes.
2. The console shall have integrated effects to provide movement, color, chase and audio effects. The
chase effects shall have adjustable speed, direction, attack and drive modification.
3. The console shall provide a library of personality data to allow rapid setup and assignment of fixtures.
4. Monitor displays are to include memories, channel and DMX outputs, preview, submasters, palettes,
DMX patch and Setup functions.
5. The console shall have a set of high-resolution rotary encoders for fixture control.
6. The console shall provide special intelligent light functions; these shall include movement effects,
color effects, 1000 palettes for each of the color, beam, and position attributes, and 1000 fixture
groups.
7. The console shall have a Setup mode containing advanced functions.
8. The console shall have a user selectable recovery option in the event of a power failure.
9. The console shall undergo self-diagnostic checks during start-up on both hardware and software and
shall report any faults to the operator.
Part 3 – Electrical
1. The console shall have an integrated power supply with an IEC320-C14 inlet.
2. The console shall operate from a single-phase supply.
3. The supply requirements shall be: 100-240V AC.
4. Supply mains frequency shall be in the range 47 - 63 Hz
Part 4 - Mechanical
1. The lighting control consoles shall be free-standing and feature an integral carrying handle at the
front.
2. The consoles shall be 39.37” (1000mm) wide, 18.19” (462mm) deep, and 8” (201mm) in height.
3. The consoles shall weigh no more than 44 lbs. (20 Kg).
4. The chassis of the console shall be constructed using a combination of extruded aluminum and
machined steel.
5. The front panel shall be securely fixed in position and shall be constructed from 0.9mm gauge steel.
6. Front panel legends shall be screen-printed.
7. All metal surfaces shall be properly treated or finished in specialist powder coat.
8. All operator controls and displays shall be provided on the top operating surface of the console.
9. The operating environment for the console shall be 41F - 104F (+5C - 40C) non-condensing.
