MS20470AD3, MS20470AD4 & MS20470AD5 rivets Instructions: 1. Create rivet layouts for #3, #4, and #5 rivet plates. Layout properties: a. 4” X 6” plates b. Edge distance of 3 D c. Rivet spacing of 4 to 5 D along the short axis d. The rivet spacing along the short axis should be about 75% the length of the long axis spacing. (Hints: Start calculations with short axis. Normally, round number of rivets down. For #5 short axis, round number of rivets up.) Present a written version of your calculations and layout to an instructor. Have an instructor approve approach before proceeding with any metal work. 2. Create two rivet plates using each of the above layouts. Insure all edges and holes are deburred. 3.
