Objective: Learn sheet metal bending techniques and practice rivet calculations.

1. 2024-T3 0.032” aluminum sheet
2. MS20470AD rivets
Instructions:
1. Using the dimensions above, create a 12” channel by splicing two 6” channels together.
2. Use AC 43.13-1B to determine the proper approach for creating the splice.
3. Present a written version of your calculations and layout to an instructor. Have an
instructor approve approach before proceeding with any metal work.
4. Channel must meet the standards outlined in AC43.13-1B.
