Cooper Controls Announces New Version of Keeper Enterprise Software
Peachtree City, Ga., May 7, 2008 – Cooper Controls Ltd., a division of Cooper Industries, today
announced a new version (V6) of Keeper Enterprise software for management and control of its
Greengate brand of relay panels and daylight-harvesting systems. The new software provides more
visibility and logging of lamp usage, actual foot candle light levels, energy usage, and graphical
daylighting information for better management, control and understanding of advanced daylight
harvesting systems.
The new software excels at monitoring lamp usage and replacement needs. An innovative circuit runtime report generator allows lighting loads to be tracked by circuit, and displays the total run time hours
and percentage of maximum hours remaining for each circuit. This is ideal for industrial or retail
applications where individual lighting fixtures can have a direct impact on productivity or profitability of
the space.
Version 6 of the software also includes system data logging capabilities, which logs the status of every
input to the system and the corresponding system action upon outputs with date and time stamps. These
logs show precisely when and why the system performed a given action, as well as photosensor levels in
foot candles and room or area occupancy levels. Photosensor and light level data can be viewed
graphically for each individual room.
“This new version of our software allows personnel to be proactive in their lamp maintenance efforts by
knowing the projected lifespan for each lamp group at any given time,” said Dave Viveiros, Greengate
Product Manager, Cooper Controls North America. “Its logging capabilities provide a straightforward
method of viewing light levels and system actions, providing all the information necessary to optimize the
system for maximum energy savings,” he added.
