Dear Valued Customer:
Upward pressure on commodities is expected to continue in part due to diminishing risk to the global economy
resulting from actions of the European Central Bank and the Greek bailout deal finalized in early March.
Consequently, demand from emerging markets, the main fundamental driver of commodity prices, is back on
track. The global market for petroleum-based products and fuels are also escalating as we are all well aware.
Thus costs for related materials and services increase as well. This all translates into increased raw material
costs such as Silver (5.9%) and Copper (15.7%). Synthetic rubber feedstock such as Ethylene and Propylene
continue to be affected by oil volatility, strong demand and disrupted supply. Events in the Middle East have
contributed to crude oil price increases of 29.4% over the past 6 months with projections for prices to push
higher. The increase in oil prices impacts production and shipping costs.
Due to the sustained increases in the cost of commodities and raw materials, Cooper Power Systems is
announcing the following price increases to cover manufacturing cost of the following products:
Distribution and Substation Arresters
Cable Accessories
Link and Current-Limiting Fuses
Distribution Cutout and Disconnecting Products
Line Installation and Protective Equipment

Cooper Power Systems continues to manage the inflationary impact to our material costs through aggressive
