Build-To-Spec Program

Custom-configured wiring devices will simplify any project while reducing the bottom line.

PEACHTREE CITY, GA., November 10, 2009 – Arrow Hart Wiring Devices, the Commercial and

Industrial division of Cooper Wiring Devices announces its new Build-To-Spec program. The program will help improve job site efficiency by providing customized device solutions that are ideal for electrical contractors, pre-fabricators and OEMs.

Standard receptacle and switch products are generally supplied to the marketplace with the capability of field modification. Actions such as trimming plaster ears and splitting receptacle circuits allow the user to optimize fit, form and function based on specific applications or uses of the product. However, the time required to complete these modifications in the field can add up quickly, which substantially increases the cost of the installation.

The Build-To-Spec program from Arrow Hart Wiring Devices allows the installer to order devices for a specific job based on their final installation needs. Arrow Hart devices arrive on the job site modified for the application, and ready to install, thus reducing the cost burden on the installer.

In addition to clipped ears and split circuits, Build-To-Spec offers a wide variety of modifications for standard devices, including the removal of mounting screws and auto ground clips, as well as the addition of wire leads and push-in connectors. These modifications are available on over 150 different

Arrow Hart devices, and typically ship within 5 business days.

“This program is all about working smarter on the job. Whether you are a contractor, a pre-fabricator or an OEM, there is a need for devices that are r eady to install when they hit your job location,” said Tom

Benton, Vice President of Marketing at Cooper Wiring Devices. “Not having to address device modifications in the field will make you more efficient and consistent in your final installation.”

As an additional time / cost savings element, Arrow Hart Build-To-Spec devices are provided in 50-piece bulk packaging for all devices. This feature increases the speed of installation and reduces both waste and clean up on the job site. These valuable time savers can make the difference in an on time job completion.
