A. Rationale/Justification for the Course
This course has been developed as a way to give students additional practice in using the applied skills learned
in Applying Behavior Analysis with Autistic Children within the treatment environment. EMU has recently
developed an Autism program in which a large number of students are working with children with autism from
the community. This course will give them applied exposure in a treatment setting to the disorder and the

of how the treatments learned about in the co-requisite course are applied in the treatment setting.
