The College of Business at University of North Texas is one of the nation’s largest business colleges. Since 1961, the college has been continuously accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the premier accrediting agency for business administration and accounting degree programs. Our students experience a 25:1 student-faculty ratio. The College’s faculty is characterized by excellence in teaching, outstanding basic and applied research, and leadership in professional organizations. Distinguished Accomplishments • The Logistics and Supply Chain Management program won the 2010 National Logistics Challenge, having won first place six times in the eleven years it has participated. • UNT is recognized as a National Center of Excellence for Information Quality Assurance Education, and the ITDS Department offers NSA approved certificates in security through its undergraduate and masters degree programs. • The BBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management and the MBA with an Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management concentration degree programs fully align with the Society of Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) HR Curriculum Guidelines. • The Accounting Tax Program is ranked in the Top Ten nationally according to BYU Accounting Research rankings. • The CoB launched a Logistics Aviation undergraduate degree program in Fall 2010, which is the first of its kind in the state of Texas. • The College of Business hosts the Center for Immigration Studies at UNT. Business Leadership Building The CoB building for the future of business. We are currently in the process of constructing a new state-of-the-art Business Leadership Building that will meet our growing needs in terms of technology, curriculum and enrollment. The $70 million facility will accommodate the College’s anticipated growth to 8,000 students and 140 faculty members. Value Added Resources Professional Leadership Program In a cooperative effort between the College of Business and corporate sponsors in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the Professional Leadership Program (PLP) takes students from “backpack to briefcase.” PLP provides programs, seminars, training and applied experiences that address leadership in areas of professional, corporate and community development. Study Abroad The College of Business offers study abroad opportunities around the globe. In summer 2011 students will have the opportunity to study in Costa Rica, India, Mexico, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. Scholarships are typically given by the College of Business and the International Study Abroad Office to help offset the cost to students. Additional study abroad opportunities are available through the UNT Study Abroad Center. Student Organizations The College of Business offers 18 student organizations in which students acquire leadership skills and enhance their overall educational experience.
