Plant Buffers
Buffers are trees,
bushes, and deep
rooted plants along
a stream, pond, river
or lake. They reduce
property loss from
erosion, support
fish and wildlife, and
improve water quality.
My property is eroding,
what can I do?
• Plant native bushes and trees!
• Leave grass unmowed.
• Keep herbicides away.
