Hill Street s t o r m d r a i n a g e i m p r o v e m e n t p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work August 2013 Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is currently finalizing consultant fees and the planning phase, which should take three to six months. We will have a public meeting in the first three months of 2014 to discuss the impacts and easement areas for the preferred design. The public meeting will be important because property owners will hear how their flooding issues will be addressed. A notice will be mailed two weeks in advance. For more information about this project, visit our website: http://stormwater.charmeck.org. Click on the Storm Water Projects drop down menu in the green bar, then Active Projects and Hill Street. If you have any questions, please contact Project Manager Danee McGee at 704-336-4102 or dmcgee@charlottenc.gov. Engineering & Property Management Storm Water Services Division 600 East Fourth Street Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 Don’t wash your car on your driveway or in the street. Soap suds flow to the nearest storm drain, then directly into the nearest creek. That could kill fish and other aquatic life. Instead, park your car on your lawn to wash it. Or, better yet, take your car to a professional car wash where the water is cleaned. You’ll have a clean car and all of us will have clean streams. For more information visit stormwater.charmeck.org
