Background/History of the Project:
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and
consulting engineers, US Infrastructure and Armstrong
Glen, are in the Real Estate Phase of the Conway/Briabend
Storm Drainage Improvement Project. This project will
repair existing culverts, storm drainage and channel
systems to reduce house and street flooding within the
area bounded by Scaleybark Road, South Boulevard and
Woodlawn Road.
Current Status and Next Steps:
The consulting engineers have submitted the final design
plans. City staff is reviewing the final plans and other
construction documents. Most easements have been
acquired. Julie Millea with City Real Estate is finalizing
easement acquisition on a few properties directly affected
by the proposed project construction.
