United Construction was awarded the construction contract and began work in November. Excavation continues on the detention basins at the Collinswood Language Academy ballpark and Firwood. The construction of the headwall for the Firwood detention basin has begun. Installation of the new drainage system from the school ball field to Conway Avenue will begin this summer. For more information about this project, please visit our website to view project updates at: http://stormwater.charmeck.org. Click on the Storm Water Projects dropdown menu in the green bar, then Active Projects and Conway/Briabend. May 2011: The detention basin at Collinswood Language Academy. The blue color is a result of seed mix additives that minimize the amount of seed and mulch that could wash away until the grass begins to grow.
