Cindy Lane Extension & Statesville Road Widening (I-85 to Sunset) Project Update
Cindy Lane Update
The Cindy Lane Extension project will
extend Cindy Lane on new location from
Statesville Road to the Nevin/Lake Road
intersection and include curb and gutter,
a planted median, bicycle lanes, planting
strips and sidewalk.
Funds to move forward with right-of-way
acquisition and construction were
included in the November 2004 Street
Improvement Bonds.
Final design and right-of-way acquisition
are nearing completion. Your patience and
cooperation during this process is greatly
appreciated.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the
summer of 2006. Once construction is
complete, landscaping will be installed
the following planting season (November
-April).
Additional landscaping has been proposed
along the back of many properties in the
Arvin Village Subdivision and on Ernie
Drive to replace as much of the wooded
buffer as possible.
Statesville Road Update
The widening of Statesville Road from
Starita Road to Sunset Road has been
temporarily put on hold. There is currently
no funding available for right-of-way
acquisition or construction. Funding is
proposed to be included on a future bond
referendum.
We will continue to keep you
informed on the status of these
projects.
