Cindy Lane Extension
On June 14, 2004, City Council adopted its FY2005 Operating Budget and FY2005-2009
Capital Investment Plan. The Capital Investment Plan includes $101.8 million in voter
approved Street Improvement Bonds for November of this year. The funds would be used
for several projects including the South Corridor Station Area Infrastructure, Sidewalks,
Minor Roadway Improvements, Bridge Replacements and Repair, and other programs.
Designated road improvement projects include Fred D. Alexander Boulevard,
Cindy Lane Extension, Nevin Road, Freedom Drive, and Dixie River Road. If the
November 2004 Street Improvement Bonds are approved, funds will be available to move
forward with right-of-way acquisition and construction. Property owners who own parcels
impacted by the Cindy Lane Extension Project would then be contacted by City Real Estate
Representatives in early 2005, with construction beginning in early 2006.
