When double doors are provide and one leaf is not the width required by R311.2 then the leafs must be provided with hardware that will release both leafs with one motion. Piles Used For Docks And Piers. Driven piles for docks and piers over water must meet the requirements of the NC Building Code Section 1810.3.1.4 and an engineer’s letter will be required on the structural compliance. The Residential Code can be used for the structure set on the piles. Boxes located in the walls between the garage and the residence must be sealed to prevent the passage of smoke. A pre-decking of the floor system is not a required inspection unless there is low ground clearance that would make it difficult to perform an inspection after the deck is in place. There will not be a consistency meeting in August or September due to the DNC event, next meeting will be help on October 3rd, 2012.
