It stresses the uses of self-leadership perceptions in the public and private sectors. The study includes employees from different nationalities and backgrounds working in UAE. This research allows a pioneer examination of selfleadership in the UAE through the use of the RSLQ (revise self-leadership questionnaire). The research questionnaire also includes main demographic variables for the leader such as age, gender nationality, education, experience and sector (private or public). 311 participants completed the questionnaire. The research has found that the demographic variables have significant relationship with several constraints of selfleadership. Age is significantly related with most of self-leadership constraints including self-goal, visualize successful performance, self-reward and self-cueing. Gender of the leader has a significant relationship with only two constructs namely self-talk and selfcueing. The same result was found in case with Nationality which is significantly related with self-reward and self-learning. Education of the leader has significant relationship with self-talk and visualize successful performance. Similarly, the leader experience and his sector are significantly related with visualize successful performance. The result of the study shows an acceptable and satisfactory level of self-leadership is present in middle management employee in the UAE.
