The following items are being issued herein for clarification, addition and/or deletion and are
incorporated into the Request for Qualifications issued November 6, 2015.
Questions & Answers:
1.
Question: Can you please share available information on the schedule for
preconstruction and construction services? What is the target for terminal activation?
Answer: Preconstruction services are expected to begin in February 2016, construction
of early packages for utilities and foundations in summer 2016, and occupancy in early
2018.
2.
Question: Has a design team been selected, can you tell us who?
Answer: The design team is a joint venture of Perkins & Will/C Design
3.
Question: What is the current status of design?
Answer: Schematics
4.
Question: Is a written reference required for each project in criteria #1 and #2? Some
owners have a blanket policy of not providing written references.
Answer: In the absence of a written reference, the contact name, phone number and
email can be provided.
5. Question: Will a SBE Certification issued by the North Carolina Department of
Transportation be accepted towards the goal for this project by the City of Charlotte?
Answer: No. See Section 5 of the RFQ.
6. Question: Will second tier MWBE/SBE participation count towards the goal?
Answer: Second tier MBE and SBE will count towards the goal.
