The Tahrir Institute for M iddle East Policy Internship The Tahrir Institute for M iddle East Policy (TIMEP) is looking to hire an intern to support its research and advocacy initiatives related to Middle East policy. TIMEP interns will gain hands-on experience at a non-profit organization dedicated to informing policymakers and the general public about developments in the region. Interns will have the opportunity to develop analytic and writing skills related to regional policy, while working on ground-breaking initiatives related to the region's economic, political, social, and security landscapes. Located in TIMEP's offices in downtown Washington D.C., the internship also allows a unique opportunity for engagement in policymaking circles and interaction with a wide variety of civil society and government actors. Gaining dynamic experience at a small organization, interns will benefit from the mentorship of TIMEP's accomplished senior staff and fellows, who will supervise the intern's research and professional development. While the weekly time commitment is flexible, we ask that interns commit at least 15 hours per week in TIMEP’s Washington DC office. General Qualifications - Applicants should be supportive of TIMEP’s mission and principles. - Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply. - Full and part-time positions are available. - Preference will be given to applicants with backgrounds and experiences related to TIMEP’s focus areas. - Arabic language fluency is preferred but not required.
