Presentation Abstract: Dr. Tom O’neill Vice President, Business Development, Sub Sahara Africa QUALCOMM International toneill@qualcomm.com Title: Roadmap and Standards for Continuing 3G Evolution Bio Dr. Tom O' Neill serves as vice president of QUALCOMM’s business development activities in sub-saharan Africa and Pakistan, Afghanistan and the Commonwealth of Independent States (formerly republics in the Soviet Union). Dr. O’Neill joined QUALCOMM in 1995, and until 2002, was responsible for development programs for integrated circuits within QUALCOMM CDMA Technologies. Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Dr. O' Neill was a director for US WEST Advanced Technologies in Boulder, Colo. Before US WEST, he was employed at several semiconductor companies, including TRW and firms in Silicon Valley. Dr. O’Neill has a doctorate in semiconductor physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and master' s and bachelor' s degrees from University of California-Berkeley, and University of California-San Diego, respectively.
