Big Data, Big Challenges, and Big Opportunities

Join us for this executive program designed to provide IT leaders and business
executives with an extraordinary learning experience on current, critical IT
management topics. In the 2013 programs, participants will be introduced to the
latest theories and best practices in the areas of Big Data, Business Analytics,
Information Privacy, and Cyber-security. Through inspiring presentations and lively
discussions of real business problems in a stimulating learning environment, this
program gives IT and business leaders valuable tools and insights for putting
innovative ideas into action.

Program events will be held in the new state-of-the-art facilities at Kogod School of
Business on the American University campus in Washington, DC.
This program is designed for IT executive management teams (CIO/ CTO level and
their direct reports), and for business unit executive sponsors of the IT team
(including CFOs and SBU heads). For maximum benefit, multiple attendees per
organization are encouraged to attend. The participants of the past programs include

PROGRAM FACULTY
The program will be taught by the internationally-renowned faculty from American
University’s Kogod School of Business and the Center’s research fellows, including
Bill DeLone, Erran Carmel, J. Alberto Espinosa, Gwanhoo Lee, Richard Schroth,
Peter Keen, Mary Culnan, Michael Carleton, and Frank Armour. In addition, other
leading scholars and experts such as Melanie Teplinksy and Tom Kellermann will
teach the program. Past external speakers include Richard Spires (U.S. Department
of Homeland Security), Steve Cooper (FAA), Aileen Morse (World Bank), Ralph
