OVERVIEW
American University’s Kogod School of Business Master of Science in Finance (MSF)
Program prepares students for successful careers in finance through a rigorous
and intellectually stimulating curriculum, exposure to distinguished faculty, and
tailored career development services. The MSF is designed for students who want to
become highly skilled professionals in the globalized market. Students will be ready
to compete, succeed, and lead in the rapidly changing world of finance. Our illustrious
faculty members have enjoyed successful careers with Deutsche Bank, the U.S.
Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission,
the Federal Reserve, and the World Bank, among other organizations.
CURRICULUM
MSF students are required to complete 6 credit hours of foundation courses, 12 credit
hours of core courses, and 15 hours of electives.
