TEXTILES SITUATIONS 2016
1. ‘Loving Trees’ is a small family run company which supplies textile products from recycled
materials for consumers who care about the environment. As a designer you are asked to produce a
set of FOUR related items inspired by the cultural influences of a developing country to be used in
the kitchen.
2. Innovative and unique children’s learning toys are very popular gifts. A toy shop that specialises
in educational toys has commissioned you to design and produce an appealing textile product which
stimulates both the auditory and tactile senses of children under the age of three.
3. A popular store ‘Petlandia’ has asked for your help to design and create a prototype product for
domestic dogs that can be later produced in batches. The product shall be used for night walks and
therefore it has to offer protection from the cold and other dangers that night time brings.
