Description
This position calls for a hands-on role in product design requiring an engineering background, good organisational skills, a disciplined approach and leadership skills.
The chosen candidates will be responsible for all product design activities including communication with the customer and suppliers as well as the release and qualification of components through stringent lab testing.
Within the role, the chosen candidates need to ensure that they complete the design to a strict budget and target date. The job also involves the evaluation of complex factors requiring knowledge of technical specifications, validations and design verifications as well as experience in CAD / CAM packages like 2D AutoCAD and Pro-E. The job requires a good combination of engineering skills, time management and effective decision making.
Requirements
 A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience in CAD / CAM packages like 2D AutoCAD, Pro-E and Ideas.

Experience in root cause analysis and problem solving.

The chosen applicant has to be a natural leader and team player with stature, drive and persuasive skills to secure a cohesive approach to customers.

Collaborative and able to optimize different agendas, this person will have excellent motivational, communication and presentation skills.
Basis: Office hours - Indefinite contract - one year probation
Salary range: to be discussed with Human Resources Manager at Interview stage
