Outline of activities Children listened to short descriptions of monsters (containing numbers, body parts and colours) which were read out for pupils to draw. Challenge can be created by including more complex descriptions or asking children to label parts in French. Some pupils chose to write down what they heard before drawing while some chose to draw straight away. Once complete, pupils checked their drawings in English, translating the descriptions orally, allowing them to make any adjustments to their learning immediately.
