SITE

Prior to construction, the entire area was a 400 car, asphalt parking lot.
Now approximately 90% of the site is exhibit space or landscaping beds.
Only adaptable or non- invasive Plants were used.
The Giraffe Roof has a 2400 square foot green roof above it.
Painted Dog roof as a 3’ deep planter that can accommodate large plants and trees.
All water elements are supplied by a 400,000 gallon underground storage tanks and
are recycled, filtered and reused so that no water leaves the site.
All storm water is collected and stored on site for reuse.
MATERIALS




Painted Dog Exhibit ~
 Zero use of hazardous plastics and other “red listed” materials.
 Use of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or reclaimed wood.
98% of Construction Waste was diverted away from local landfills.
56% of Materials used came from local sources.
All interior materials used are No or Low VOC.
