Eligibility: Must be working at a DPW licensed/regulated facility associated with the NW Key Region which includes
Armstrong, Blair, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson,
Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren counties. Participants must validate themselves on the PA
Key Intranet website before enrolling.

over a three week period, with a one hour LIVE
webinar on Tues., 1/12/16 from 1-2 pm, access to
Blackboard 24/7

hours over a two week period, access to
Blackboard 24/7
Description: Explore how to intentionally use objective
observations to plan for responsive developmentally
appropriate interactions with children that will enhance
their experiences in a quality classroom environment.
Also explore how to efficiently document observations
during the busy times in an early childhood day. This
online 6 hour training meets the STAR 2 requirement for
2 hours in child observation.
Description: Learn new information about brain
development and how it is impacted by attachment.
Explore the gender differences that impact brain
development & how this might inform your practice
with infants & toddlers. Discover new ideas about
critical time periods in infant-toddler brain
development in order to support their growth &
development.

Costs:
NWRK Funded Program Fee: Fall 2015-Spring 2016 Offerings $7.00 fee for two hours, $14.00 fee for 3-4 hours, and $21.00 fee
for 5-6 hours professional development activities.
