Major Requirements
• 37 credit hours with grades of C or better
One course at the 300 level may be taken outside of the Economics Department with the
advisor's approval if the course is closely related to economics such as SISU-320 or IBUS-300.
(SISU-300 is similar to ECON-370 and cannot be used towards this degree.)
No more than a total of 6 credit hours may be used for the major from the Washington Economic
Policy Semester courses or courses from study abroad programs. No more than 3 credit hours of
independent reading and study courses, or internships may be used for the major.

_____ STAT 202 Basic Statistics or STAT-203 Basic Stat w/ calc (4)
_____ One of the following:
ECON-480 or ECON-491 or ECON-492 or approved SABD course in programs with
equivalency in ECON
General (18 credit hours)
• 18 credit hours in economics courses (ECON-XXX) at the 300 level or above.
Students may take no more than two of the following: ECON 370, ECON 371, and ECON 372.
Also only two from ECON-361, 362 and 363.
