Microeconomics studies the choices that individuals, private and public enterprises make in a market setting. In this course, students will learn how to build models of complex social phenomena using economic reasoning. The course is quantitatively rigorous and requires knowledge of calculus. This course’s objective is to equip students with building blocks of microeconomic theory which are applied in other disciplines within economics such as environment, labor, and international trade. Prerequisites: You must complete both ECON 2105 and 2106, or you must complete ECON 2100, or ECON 2101 before you take this course. No prerequisite overloads will be given.
