Course Description:
This course analyzes microeconomic theory in greater details for students who have successfully completed
the principles course. Microeconomics studies the choices that individuals, private and public enterprises
make in a market setting. In this course, students will learn how to build models of complex social
phenomena using economic reasoning. The course is quantitatively rigorous and requires knowledge of
calculus. This course’s objective is to equip students with building blocks of microeconomic theory which
are applied in other disciplines within economics such as environment, labor, and international trade.
