ENGAGEMENT POLICY Dr. Burns has stated that we need an engagement policy. For Federal Financial Aid, we must put a last date of engagement for students who receive a WF, W, F or I. o The hard part will be that we must be able to document the date we enter. o Random request to pull student information showed that 30% of the group sampled received an “F” when they should have received a “WF” and faculty were unable to document how the date of last attendance was chosen. Dr. Knighton requested that the Deans serve as a task-force and develop a proposal to take to the faculty within the next month. o Dr. Finazzo will chair the Task Force. OVERLAY ELIMINATION Overlays have been removed, but our Area B will not be changed for next academic year. o Instead, we want to have serious consideration to what we want to do in that area.
