Mission Statement The College of the Redwoods’ Program Review Committee leads and facilitates authentic assessment as it relates to student success and planning at the institution for all subject and service areas.
The committee reviews Annual and Comprehensive Program Reviews that provide the strong foundation upon which College of the Redwoods develops, identifies, states and documents quality improvement plans and goals including providing the direction of prioritization of funding, and support needs as organized under
the strategic planning objectives.
Objective: To provide an evaluative Executive Summary of this program’s review for authors, the Integrated
Planning Committees, and the District.

Safety committee more active, informastive and initiating surveys
Implementation of Tsunami warning events
Improved staff development with limited funding

Lack of Full Time staff
Secure positions for off campus sites
Improved technology
Limited funding for staff development

Safety is committee more active, informative and is initiating surveys to continue assessment
Implementation of Tsunami warning events
Sheer energy dealing with the 2010 earthquate and 2011 tsunami
Responsive and professional
Creation of an Emergency Response Team (CERT)
4. Program Budget/Funding Sources:
Inadequate funding for staff development, supplies and technology
No night vision on parking lot cameras
No budget to be NIMs compliant (re emergency
response)
& Recommendations:
Need more clear cut goals and plans for prioritizing goals; action plan
Improving security systems throughout district
Faculty and Staff development
Need funding for security at new sites
5. Program Goals/Plans:
Increase full time staff
Secure positions at off campus sites
Improve technology
Fix/purchase night vision on parking lot cameras
Become NIMs compliant (re emergency responsibilities)

Do drills and evaluate that responses are adequate to needs;
Assess results and provide recommendations for additional training
Use of satisfaction data for employees and students
Process:
Completed Executive Summary forms will be sent to program review authors.
PRC will forward Executive Summaries to the appropriate integrated planning committees.
7. Student Success/Achievement/Basic Skills obstacles/challenges:
Is directly related to safety on campus and at sites
PRC Recommendation: 1) All programs would benefit from a formalized, institution‐led follow‐up system/tracking of our graduates. 2) Clarification/development of process from grant funded programs/positions to district funding. 3) District‐wide plan for technology and equipment maintenance and replacement.
