Institutional Effectiveness Committee Meeting

1. Process for Linking Program Review to CR’s Integrated Planning Model: Martha
Davis distributed copies of the database entry form as well as a summary report based
on information gathered through interviews with Helen Edwards, the Division Chair for
Business and Technology. Roxanne explained that after completing the first interview
with a program review author, it was determined by the interview subcommittee of the
Facilities Planning Committee that interviews with individual program review authors
would be too cumbersome and time consuming to conduct. To streamline the interview
process, it was determined that interviews would be conducted with each instructional
and non-instructional division chair or head to identify the needs coming from Program
Review. To ensure an open and transparent process, the database being developed by
Martha is intended to be available through CR’s network to all employees with a network
login.
2. Status of Action Planning Work: Roxanne distributed copies of the action plan
submitted by Michael Regan and explained that this action plan will be provided on the
strategic planning website as a sample action plan. The IEC members agreed to
provide feedback by Friday, Feb. 22 so Michael would be able to make any requested
changes to the sample to be uploaded to the planning website. It was determined that
all available action plans, even if only available in draft form, should be reviewed by the
IEC at the next meeting to provide an opportunity for the IEC to determine its role in
providing technical reviews of submitted action plans.
A few IEC members requested that documents intended for discussion at IEC meetings be
distributed several days prior to the meeting whenever possible, to provide an opportunity
for review.
