TENATIVE SGA Resolution 17-10-F
A resolution to extend parking meter times from Thirty minutes to 1 hour
Whereas:
Thirty minutes does not allow a person adequate time to leave their car and get back to it.
Whereas:
An hour would allow them to get more done and not be rushed.
Whereas:
Some students park in metered areas and attend classes which results in parking tickets.
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE 73nd CONGRESS OF THE STUDENT
GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY THAT:
Section 1:
All parking meters on the campus of MTSU will be changed from thirty minutes and
extended to 1 hour.
Section 2:
Parking meters near academic buildings will be changed to 2 hours to allow students to
attend class and avoid being ticketed
