Population Selection and Letter Generation (2/11/09)
Two types of P.S. – Manual (can be used on specific IDs, you manually inset IDs) and Rule (write
out rule and queries to allow Banner to find the IDs that apply)
GLRSLCT - To get to Manual Population Selection

Enter Application Code for your department
Selection ID – Your name for the particular PS
Creator ID – This will be your login
Selection Description
Next go to GLAEXTR
User ID is who selected the IDs
Select the IDs you want
GLBDATA – Executes the population selection
Usually parameter 2, 6, and 7 will need to be filled out – 8 if you want detailed report
After running the request make sure to write down the sequence number from the bottom
left corner of the screen.
