For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, 5/29/2016 CETES incubator tenant launches regional family publication Dr. Peter Abramo, Executive Director of Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES), has announced that one of the CETES incubator tenants, Oklahoma Family Publishing, has just launched a new publication. The first edition of “Red River Family Magazine” will be available across Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas on Monday, April 28. This publication is dedicated to serving, informing and entertaining busy parents. Each month will include articles of special interest for families with children ranging in age from newborn to 21 years, along with a calendar showcasing a comprehensive list of upcoming regional events. Additionally, each issue will feature an article aimed at an issue of particular concern to military families. The magazine is available for free to the reader, with revenue generated through advertising. Oklahoma Family Publishing is owned by entrepreneur Laura Clevenger and has a website, www.redriverfamily.com. “The launch of Red River Family Magazine is a great success for CETES and Cameron University,” says Abramo. “Laura Clevenger has put in tremendous effort, and we’ve been able to compliment it with guidance on business issues, connection to resources, and locating a Cameron student intern to assist with graphic design. This is a great example of the team effort led by Cameron University that can make a positive difference in southwest Oklahoma.” CETES serves as a catalyst for the development of technology-based industries in Southwest Oklahoma. Using state-of-the-art technology with the expertise of CU faculty to provide support services for new industries, the CETES incubator houses multiple start-up companies. Client companies such as Oklahoma Family Publishing, LLC, who enter the incubator are provided space for conferences, meetings and product demonstrations. CU faculty members provide advice in finance, strategic planning, marketing, accounting, business plan development, technology and communication.
