FAMILY TABLE As we all prepare to finish the semester and take a holiday break, I suspect that you, like I, cannot believe this semester is almost over! Where did those 15 weeks of life go!? Our newest members of the WCU community are soon to become retuning students and will be joined by a small group of brandnew first-year and many more transfer students. As I contemplate the journey our students have begun, I am reminded that they are still learning the ropes here and will continue to rely on all of us for guidance and support. I hope you will have opportunities to stay in touch with your fall students and give them an encouraging nod from time to time. How very fortunate we are to have the opportunity to work with these young people who will shape the world they inherit! I count my blessings and cherish the gift that is wrapped as a career in higher education. I offer my deepest gratitude for your energy, expertise, and commitment to our first-year students and wish you smooth sailing as you wrap up your fall semester. May you have a wonderful and restful holiday break with your family and friends!
