JANUARY MONTHLY TIPS JANUARY 20, 2016 Tip #1: If you are required to enter percentage of effort, go to the ‘% Effort’ field and enter the percentage as a decimal (ex: enter 0.10 for 10%). For more detailed information and instruction refer to the Standard Operating Procedure “Entry of % Effort for Project Personnel in ePD”. Tip #2: Existing documents can be replaced during Approval Routing by the Aggregator and the SPO Analyst. To replace a document, click on the file to be replaced. This will prompt the ‘Upload New File’ to appear. Click on ‘Upload New File’, click on ‘Choose’ file to browse for the new attachment to upload, then click on ‘Save’. You can also update the Description, which is a useful tool for letting someone what has changed. Additionally, “placeholder” documents should be added for documents that will need to be uploaded, but aren’t yet available. When the document becomes available, the existing “placeholder” document can be swapped out. Copyright 2015 The Regents of the University of California. You will need to add a new version of the budget. Click on ‘Budget’, click on ‘Budget Versions’, mark version 1 incomplete, click on ‘Add New Version’.
