In 2013-14, the Provincial Leadership Team for health
care in Saskatchewan identified the need for a clinical
pathway for chronic leg and foot wounds.
The goal of the Pathway is to engage the whole system
in changes to: promote faster wound healing, control
wound care costs, and reduce instance of amputation
and hospitalization due to diabetic and venous wounds.
This is not a skills session –it is an orientation for any
regional personnel who may benefit from a familiarity
with LEW Pathway goals, standardized tools and
protocols.
Participants are invited to share their
questions and suggestions about the pathway
