Cuisine de Cook-Off
The inaugural COD Cook-Off captured the interest of
cafeteria patrons, as three teams competed for best dishes
prepared with five surprise ingredients: French fried onions,
beef tenderloin, artichokes, caramel sauce and blood
oranges. A student team with members Brian Vincent and
Bayani Acuesta prevailed, with judges (including
President Robert L. Breuder and Culinary Coordinator
Chris Thielman) citing the team’s “original sauces,
unexpected flavors and textures, and presentation” as the
reason for their success. Special thanks to Sodexo’s Lynn
Konicek for organizing this fun, delicious event.
