Essay Questions
Essay questions must be typed:
(1) Why are you interested in the field of speech language pathology? Do you possess any special skills,
education, or work experience which you feel may contribute toward acceptance into the program?
If so, please elaborate.
(2) In your own words, detail your knowledge of communication, language, and speech as applied to our
understanding of human communication. Demonstrate your knowledge of the concept of language in
your discussion of receptive language and expressive language. Demonstrate your understanding of the
five components of language in your detailed description of its form, content and use.
(3) Please indicate if you intend to complete the program in two or three years (circle one).
