Ways to Solve Quarter Conflicts *compromise *take a relaxation break, then try to solve *I message I feel______. *rock, paper, scissors *take turns *talk it out *be assertive/say, Please Stop! Teaching kids to be resilient, think flexibly when solving problems, and use positive thinking helps kids to get along with others. Small Conflicts/ Problems that are not a big deal. Let it go!! Conflicts / problems that you need to try to solve yourself. Conflicts/ problems that need help from an adult. A student is: *taking too long at the drinking fountain. *cutting in line. *rolls their eyes. *drops a pass at recess. *chooses a different partner. A student is: *making noises when you are trying to work. *calling you silly names. *putting their stuff on your desk. *Leaving you out of a game. A student is: *being hurt by another student. *calling you names over and over again. *saying bad words. *threatening you or someone. By using this strategy, we can teach our children how to become flexible independent thinkers with a positive mindset when it comes to problems solving.
