STUDENT ACTIVITIES MISSION STATEMENT To our members – Student Activities is a student-centered department dedicated to individual and organizational development. We strive to educate students in the domains of signature service, teamwork, communication, leadership, time management/organizational skills, and personal development. We provide the resources, guidance, and support to enhance student achievements and activities. In addition to serving the interest of the university community, our goal is to create a college experience that is more vibrant and purposeful. Front row seats at all events! u u u u ABOUT THE STUDENT ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE Student Activities is responsible for the planning and implementation of student entertainment and activities held on the Methodist University campus. This includes comedians, novelty acts, homecoming, Spring Fling, and movies. Our Student Activities program has previously been ranked in the Top 5 in the Nation by “Campus Activities” Magazine. All full-time students are encouraged to participate in this open organization. Involvement in campus programs and activities is vital to a well-rounded education and directly influences students’ college satisfaction, academic achievement, and persistence toward graduation. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS u u u Do I have to pay to be a part of SAC? No! The money for our programs comes from the Student Activities fee that all students pay in their tuition. Can I get paid to work for SAC? YES! If you qualify for the Federal Work-Study Program this can be your job! How will Student Activities benefit me? The Student Activities Committee at Methodist University boasts family-style experiences. The committee is as devoted to bettering the university experience of its members as it is to experiences of the college community as a whole.
