FACT Field Specialist, FACT Movement
Background:
The FACT Movement, which is managed by the American Lung Association in WI empowers Wisconsin youth ages 13-18 to take action

Position Description:
This full time salaried position (plus benefits) will be located in Brookfield and will assist in providing outreach to youth and adults engaged in
the FACT Movement.
Under the supervision of the FACT Field Manager, the FACT Field Specialist will:

Provide training and technical assistance to FACT members, adult advisors and other specialists
Offer strategies to recruit new members, empower teens to become FACTivists to spread the FACT message
Coordinate FACT groups, implement their local plans, track and evaluate their projects, etc.
Manage the FACT Youth Board of Directors as they provide leadership to the Movement
Be a liaison to multi-jurisdictional coalitions and Department of Public Health staff
Develop FACT activism/street marketing ideas
Represent FACT on local, regional and statewide committees
Support FACT Field Guru with communication to youth & adult partners statewide
Provide original content for FACT website
Responsible for travel, activity records, reports and other paperwork as required
Work 37.5 hours per week, (includes some required evenings, overnights and weekends)
Report directly to the FACT Field Manager, also reports to Director, Program Services
Qualifications:
Preference given to candidates with/who are:

Bachelors or associates degree
Prior experience working with teens
Strong public speaking background
Experience working with diverse populations, cultures and ethnic groups
Skills in public relations, education, advocacy, marketing/graphic design and outreach
The ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible with work activities and schedule
Ability to interact well with both adults and youth
Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
A valid Wisconsin driver’s license
A personal vehicle is required. Note: American Lung Association of WI may provide a vehicle for staff travel; however personal vehicles may
be used during time of multiple staff travel. In this case, mileage reimbursement is provided.
