The major only has 43 credits. The responses to the assessment question were not clear on many of the forms. It would be helpful to clarify what is expected and provide examples. One of the courses ( CLAS 191 [CLAS 180], Environment and Nature in the Classical World) previously approved by Group 2 is being offered this spring and requests that the designation be active for this offering. The Committee voted to approve the designation for the permanent course starting next fall, but not for the spring offering since the schedule has been published and students are enrolling now. Students can petition to the Graduation Appeals Committee. The remaining items for group 2 will be considered next week.
